Project Summary

DigiTrans aims to boost SME competitiveness, improve regional policies, and strengthen innovation capacities in the Adriatic-Ionian region, fostering a more sustainable and digitally inclusive future. This project brings together 10 partners from 9 countries, representing diverse sectors—industry, academia, business support, and public administration. This multidisciplinary collaboration creates a unique opportunity to tackle the challenges of underutilized digital technologies through a comprehensive and inclusive approach. DigiTrans establishes a quadruple helix model, connecting industry, academia, government, and communities to foster cooperation and drive the adoption of digital and innovative technologies among SMEs. Transregional collaboration will also lead to a joint platform, enabling the exchange of knowledge and experiences, the transfer of good practices, and the development of joint action plans for enhanced digitalization. Key activities include:
  • Preparing regional and transregional analyses to assess digitalization levels and identify opportunities.
  • Increasing SME collaboration with innovation actors by 10%.
  • Developing 9 action plans for transferring good practices and testing pilot solutions.
The project also places a specific focus on reducing the urban-rural innovation gap by enhancing digitalization in less-developed areas.
